Blue Hill Markets
This farmers' market runs from late May through mid-October and showcases a wide variety of locally-grown and made goods from the Blue Hill Peninsula. In addition to fresh produce and baked goods, the market features such items as smoked meats, wooden bowls, handmade soaps and toys. Mexican and Indian food to go is also available. The market is held every Saturday morning at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds until late August, at which time it continues at the First Congregational Church in town. A Wednesday market is also held at the latter location starting in late June.
Open from May until October, visitors to the Blue Hill/Deer Isle area can visit this farmer's market and pick up some fresh local products. Organic chicken, fresh eggs, potatoes, hydroponic lettuce, tomatoes, herbs, honey, spices, fruit and more, are sold alongside products like pastries and even spring rolls.
