Blue Hill Food
This co-op has several different departments including grocery, with local made items like bread, meat, dairy, maple syrup, honey and chocolate. Other departments are produce, bulk, health and beauty, cheese and wine and beer.
Blue Hill visitors wanting to pick up a range of goods for a stay on the peninsula can head to Tradewinds Marketplace. In addition to fresh, local produce, seafood and baked goods, the market features a Nature's Shoppe and made in Maine sections.
This shop is six miles south of Blue Hill on route 175, to get to it customers drive over the Falls Bridge to South Blue Hill. As well as live lobsters and crab meat the store sells quilts, baskets, sea glass jewelry, baby and childrens' wear and toys.
